I don't think it is, I'm a mom of 2 and pregnant with my 3rd, so I would think I was a bit of an expert. But my guy friend just called me and is freaking out because a girl he met and slept with 2 weeks ago just called him and told him she is 2 weeks pregnant. I don't think I ever knew when I was 2 weeks pregnant, i was always atleast 6-9 weeks along when I found out. What do you think?

Is she just trying to hook him or what? I can't believe I said that! Nevertheless, I believe the only way to find out if one is pregnant at two weeks, is to take a blood test. Most caregivers won't administer such unless there is a health emergency, plus the expense, considering anyone one can buy a ten dollar test in a few more weeks. But tell your friend to use a condom, because babies are forever!! Especially 18 years of support, whether you are with the mom, or not, maybe he'll think twice. Sorry to be so brass. : l

I'm a mother of two. When I got pregnant with my first I knew when I was about three weeks. When I got pregnant with my last one I knew right away. Some people are more intone to there bodies then others and can tell when there is just the littles change.

I knew within the first few weeks - even before the pregnancy test would come up positive. I knew because i could just "feel" it (no - i wasn't trying to conceive). I know my body well enough to recognise a change - nothing dramatic or noticeable to others or anything like that, just an internal knowledge that something was happening that i've never experienced before. Sure must sound odd to alot of people i know but its the truth.

They calculate your due date based on the 1st day of your last period. SO, when they say you're "4 weeks pregnant", you've most likely only be pregnant for 2 of them...it's when you're supposed to be getting your period. And "2 weeks pregnant" (with my understanding) isn't really possible...because you're ovulating and making the baby during that time...

So either the girlfriend is very confused on how far along she is, or she's making it up.

This may sound strange, but I knew immediately--and felt sure within hours. A few days later, right on schedule, I felt the ovum implant. There was an odd "drawing" feeling going through my breasts that happens when the ovum implants. The first edition of the book "Our Bodies, Ourselves" described that feeling, and so confirmed what I already knew. (Our daughter's thirty now.)

I was always further along than that when I found out with 3 of my children but, one of them I was about 2 weeks when I found out. I found out so early it was like the longest pregnancy ever. I would be careful if she is telling him that but, also don't dismiss it either.

I knew when I was 2 weeeks preg. becuase I was WAITING to take the preg. test. . .counting the days. We were trying to get preg. so I counted what I figured to be conception day, and 14 days later took a test. (Which was the day my period was due.) The test lit up, and child number one was on the way.
