My G-pa is in the hospital not doing so well, and he keeps telling jokes. It makes me happy. Your G-pa was a wonderful man i am sure. Maybe he is talking about his future if he belived in the after life?

Looking at my parents. When I hear of their early years, and how the stupid spats they had, that at the time, seemed the end of the world, now they are funny. They were married 55 yrs. when I lost my Dad. I wonder if that is what he meant. Remeber in his day, they didn't have the drugs, and all the terrible things, we have that are so degrading today. I also, think there are things in life we are never meant to know. I think this is his way of telling you not to take life too seriously. I wouldn't dwell on it. I'm older, and in the old days, from what I hear, things were simpler in some ways, to what's going on now. ex: the radio show with Orson Wells that had people thinking it was the end of the world. Now that seems funny. But it sure didn't at the time.

Seems a very deep and wise person...
Honey symbolises the essence of flowers, nectar !
Looking at it, he must have visualised....
" In the coming years, with fast pace of technology, lots of knowledge, and less of wisdom.... a funny situation, practically specialists at top positions, utterly novices at many basic aspects of life !"

I hope Grandpa is right! Laughter is the best medicine. Or maybe he just had a preview of Heaven and heard the angels laughing...

Hindsight lets one remember things warmly . . . even the bad. I bet he meant in the future looking back on that time.

As you get older you don't take yourself and the world around you so seriously..So you find humor in things that some don't see.

Did he mean the future future or how your outlook on life will be as you grow older???
If it's the latter, I already knew that.
