I stole about $800 from my job and I think I'm about to get caught. I don't know what else to do.

Life is too precious. $800.00 BUCKS IS NOT THAT MUCH YOU WONT' GET MUCH TIME IF ANY. FESS UP AND FIND SOMETHING YOU ARE GOOD AT AND START DOING IT. WHILE LIFE LOOKS LIKE IT WOULD BE DIFFICULT NOW, IN A SHORT TIME YOU WILL BE ON TOP OF THE WORLD. SO, JUST TOUGHEN UP, DO WHAT YOU NEED TO DO AND STOP WORRYING ABOUT BEING CAUGHT FOCUS ON CHANGE AND WHAT YOU CAN DO IN THE FUTURE INSTEAD OF WHAT YOU CANNOT CHANGE. GOOD LUCK.

Wow... 800 dollars!! If you get caught, you do know that you might have charges pressed against you or have to go to jail.
I am in the same boat as you. I am 17 years old, and a few months back, I ordered magazines for this girl. Now, there was NO CREDIT CARDS OR MONEY INVOLVED. All I did was check " bill me later" and I thought the family would cancel the magazines.
So... there were charges pressed against me and my sister ( who made a fake myspace for the girl ).
I can not stand it myself. I am only 17 and still in high school and I am getting ready to go to college. I do not know what is going to happen to me. A few times this week I thought about mixing up meds and pills and overdosing on them ( 100 or more ).
I even thought about it tonight but I refrained myself. I cry myself to sleep some nights. I am a good kid. I am not a criminal.
I know how you feel.I really do.

Why on gawds green earth would you kill yourself over $800. In most states that is not even a felony.
What is the worst that will happen to you if your get caught? You will be arrested, and probably get bail on your own recognizance, I doubt they will even arrest you unless you hide from it. You will go to court. Big deal. You will be made to pay restitution fines and penalties. Again, big deal. The worst thing that will happen is you will have a criminal history, but I would bet that they will offer to remove it from your record if you are sorry, promise to be good, pay the restitution and follow the terms of probation without getting in trouble again.
$800 is nothing. My business and myself are $2million in debt and sales are slumping (manufacturer in Michigan), but it's just money, it's not worth your life.

Nothing is bad enough to end your life. If there's a way to put the money back without getting caught then do it. If not, then quit your job and send the money back with an apology.

That's kind of like cake or death isn't it? Who would choose death over cake?
You made a very stupid mistake. However you have a choice now to turn yourself in. Stealing isn't the worst crime. If you are sent to jail it wouldn't be long. Obviously if you get caught you deserve it, it is a crime!
Go do the right thing because death is permanant and you can fix your mistake even if you get punished.

well, im not going to fuss at you for stealing, since you feel so guilty about it that you're contemplating suicide. evidently youre sorry you did it. talk to your work and hopefully you still have the money so that you can give it back. they may be a lot nicer about it than you think they will be. even if they're not nice about it, it is still better than not being in the world......don't you think?? what would the people who love you do if you actually killed yourself? think about the hurt you would leave behind for OTHERS to deal with.......please dont do it.

Don't commit suicide. It'd be the stupidest thing you ever did. Be honest. Go and admit to someone at work that you did it. They won't like what you did but will respect the fact that you came clean. It's tough but you can do it!

Except the fact that you are evil and do everyone a favor noone likes a thief you should kill yourself you are pathetic but I suspect your to much a coward.If your man enough take a razor to your wrists and slice it right up the middle not side to side

Tell the truth and face the consequences.
Suicide is defintely not the answer.
It may be painful to make things right, but in the long run you'll feel better about yourself.
Just do the right thing.
