The Pope or Michael Shake Fox?
The Pope - Held himself as an example on how to die with dignity and not compromise morals, principles, and the word of God in order to save his hide with the destruction of life for the sake of science. This was a holy man who through his suffering taught us a lesson that unfortunately most people did not learn. This was a man who literally saved millions of life, not by destroying life, but by living the word of God and spreading it and standing resolute to defend it.
Michae Shake Fox - A man who cared not one bit about this desease until his hide was on the line, and has now stooped so low that he now uses his desease to campaign for politicians that will force the rest of us to pay taxes to support something we clearly don't. This is a man who purposely does not take his medication when being interviewed about the desease or testifying in congress.
Hmmmm, I wonder which one has the moral authority here.

Actually neither cause the Pope could have done a lot more when all those priests were and are being caught molesting the young boys. He really messed up on that one. And he could do more right now to not let this happen..Fox is an embarressment to Hollywood but then most of them in Hollywood are of the same mentallity!

Well, honestly untill about 7 years ago I didnt care about diabetes research. It was then that my oldest son was diagnosed with diabetes so my views have certainly changed and if presented with an opportunity to help raise money for research I would use whatever means necessary within reason. Do you care about arthritis or heart disease or diabetes right now? Depending on your age you may or may not. Ask yourself the same question when your 20 years from now. I bet your answer would be different than it would right now. Most people dont care about things until it affects them personally. Its human nature.

Something you don't understand, is that Mr. Fox is indeed taking his medicine. He is taking the medicine that is responsible for his ticks, the muscle problems.
Maybe you should do some research:
"Limbaugh's shock at Fox's appearance is a measure of the disease's devastation, advocates say. Contrary to the charge that Fox might not take his medicine to enhance his symptoms, the medicine produces some of the uncontrolled body movements."
"A source with direct knowledge of Fox's illness who viewed the Cardin ad said Fox is not acting to exaggerate the effects of the disease. The source said Fox's scenes in "Boston Legal" had to be taped around his illness, as he worked to control the tremors associated with Parkinson's for limited periods of time."
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/10/24/AR2006102400691.html?nav=hcmoduletmv
Dr. John Boockvar, a neurosurgeon and assistant professor at Weill Cornell Medical Center at New York's Presbyterian Hospital, called Limbaugh's claim "ludicrous." Boockvar said those with Parkinson's have "on" and "off" spells.

So let me see if I understand you.
A cure for Parkinson's disease shouldn't be attempted because the pope died with dignity having the disease and Michael J. Fox is selfish having the disease?
Sounds like a red Herring argument. How about using stem cells from embryos that are going to be thrown away anyway from fertility clinics for a possible cure for diseases that destroy the quality of life of millions? Why is it OK to throw these embryos away but it is not OK to use them for the betterment of mankind?
I just don't get it.

Well thanks for setting us straight. You must be a very powerful, important person to have been with Pope before he died, and to also hang around with Mr Fox enough to know when he does and does not take his medication. As for moral authority, should we also defer to you as well? By the way, who is Michae Shake Fox? Or did you not know how to correctly refer to Michael J. Fox because you are to busy doing your cousin Foley on some wet dirt spot in Texas? ANd wasn't the Pope the leader of all the Catholic priests chasing the underage boys in church? You should get your facts straight, bub, that or get yourself back into treatment.

I think I'll side with Michael J. Fox. He does take medication for Parkinson's. It is just at the stage he is at, it has to be taken fairly frequently. He can not make it through long interviews without breaks. I support stem cell research. I think it is an amazing science.

His name is Michael J. Fox, dumbass.
& yes, we DO need Stem-cell research.
Put your stupid right-wing morals aside & focus on the REAL issues, fucko.
Maybe you should get Parkinson's & see what it's like before you go around passing judgement on a respectable man like Fox.
