go there http://freestone-group.com/video-card-stability-test/benchmark-results.html & look for yourself, what other gamers, who own the cards, have reported as performances (w/ a standard testing tool, that the site provides)
not sure how you got the idea to look @ an ATI 9800 or a NV6200, which both are outdated cards and are limited (very much so for the NV 6200) for the most recent games.
the X1600 is the only choice (have one myself & recommand it though not w/out limitations; when running ATI's crowd demo, the card (even w/ 512MB DDR2) comes to a crawl (15 to 20 fps on 1680x1050) and most X8x0 demos don't even start.

if you are looking for a decent card, the X1600 is your choice;
if you are looking for outstanding gamer performance, you may want to look for a 2nd hand X800 or X850 rather then the X1600

The X1600 is the best of those three, it has better memory bandwidth, better fillrate, I could list a bunch of stuff but it is the best. And if anyone tells you the 6200 because it has more RAM, please disregard them as they have no qualification to answer a graphics card question, the X1600 is easily better.
