world's hardest riddle, help me figure it out?

and I will make you cry.
I make guys have to pee
and girls comb their hair.
I make celebrities look stupid
and normal people look like celebrities.
I turn pancakes brown
and make your champane bubble.
If you sqeeze me, I'll pop.
If you look at me, you'll pop.
Can you guess the riddle?

I would guess "Air" or Cold air

I turn polar bears white - hair is hollow full of air
and I will make you cry. -A cold wind can make you cry
I make guys have to pee - a cold breeze if you are exposed
and girls comb their hair. - wind will mess up hair
I make celebrities look stupid - same -wind will mess up hair
and normal people look like celebrities. - Sometimes wind will cause that "wind blown look"
I turn pancakes brown - turning brown when cooking is because of heat induced oxydation
and make your champane bubble. - CO2
If you sqeeze me, I'll pop. - air in bubble wrap
If you look at me, you'll pop. - this last one I'm not sure of. If you look into the wind do your eyes pop? Looking into the wind when trying to hit a baseball make you pop-up?

This riddle is all over the internet with people discussing the possible answer but it seems no one really ever knows the exact answer. Most people say the answer is "no" because supposedly 90-something % of Harvard grads couldn't figure it out and 84% of a kindergarten class did...simply because they answer the only question in the riddle "Can you guess the riddle?". Other popular guesses are "air" (which doesn't make sense to me) and "time" (which the crying and combing hair doesn't fit). Some also say there is no answer and this was created for people to do just what you are doing....ask and ask and ask...
