yes it is,there has not been any medical alert for it in all the years it's been on the shelf and it helps to boot

Safe for what, do you ask?

It's just fine as a stomach antacid, taken occasionally.

I wouldn't use it as a skin moisturizer, or eyewash or mouthwash, nor would I inject it intravenously.

Safe to use as directed on the package.

THEY'RE SUPPOSE TO BE. BEEN ON THE MARKET FOR AT LEAST 45 YEARS. I'VE USED IT 2 TIMES.
