Go for it, but don't compromise if the contract makes you do something you don't want to. Read the deal and think it over before signing the dotted line.

Those places, first and foremost, are trying to get YOUR money, not trying to find talent. Sadly, their true talent is conning naive young girls and women. They will tell you you have potential, promise a world of opportunity, and then hit you up for $$$ for head shots, singing lessons, demo tapes, acting lessons, etc. I'm sure there are legitimate agencies out there, but I wouldn't set foot in any of the ones you see or hear advertised.

Do they charge you to audition for them? Do you think you're good? WIll they immediately ask for $500 to cut a demo? Have you talked to anyone else who did it? What do they make you sign (contract)? What are the hidden fees? Do they have a real agency in a real office in a nice building in a nice part of town with nice people?
I'd do a little more checking, and get a little more input before you do. If you do... KNOCK'EM DEAD!!

Find out if it's real.
It's been popular for Decades for people to make up these kind of places just to torture people or draw in victims.
If it is real,.. BEST OF LUCK :)
There are real ones around here,.. well there were,.. they all go bye bye in under five years,.. I know on rare occasion it's because they need a bigger building since thye are doing so well but most just go poof.
