go to that website and it will walk you through closing your account. i think its something new but ive had hotmail for like 4 years now
ok the link wasnt working but this is how u can do it.... log into your hotmail account and at the very right press on help, and then type in closing your account, and it will bring up the page to close it. and then when u want to reactivate your account u simply just log back in. but u will stop getting mail and everything will be deleted out of there

just go in and delete everything then no one will be able to send you anything and after a period of time they will close the account or you can email them by looking in your account and getting the address

Leave it be for a long time and they will delete it because they consider it inactive.

30 days without logging on, it will be considered inactive
