It's kind of hard to compare the two because Ronaldinho is in his prime and Zidane is retiring. I think Ronaldinho now is better than Zidane ever was, but Zidane was a great player up until he retired, and you really can't compare the two until Ronaldinho calls it quits.

It would depend if Zidane was still playing and Ronaldinho has to win player of the year 3 times just like Zidane

This is a hard question. I would have to say Ronaldinho. Here is why. Don't get me wrong, Zidane is a great player. Ronaldinho is better cause he is in his prime. Even with Zidane in his prime, Ronaldinho is quicker and seems to have a tiny better feel for the game. The bad thing for Zidane, he will always be remember for that one play. Don't have to remind you on that one.

Well, don't mistake me. Zidane is strong since he scored many goals. The latest is the one in the World Cup Finals when grabbed the opportunity to score in the penalty in the game. However, Zidane is retiring. Ronaldinho is equally strong however he is now very boring as it has been quite some time since he has scored a goal. I think Zidane is better as in the World Cup he managed to bring his team to the Finals however Ronaldinho couldn't bring Brazil on into the Semi Finals even.
Zidane almost scored a goal when it hit the post. Summarising it, Zidane is better.

Well look at it this way, Zidane is a 3-time best player ever. while Ronaldinho is a 2-time best player ever. But Ronaldinho is the current one, so that would make them fairly equal in overall.
If you want to ask overall? that would be ZIDANE
if you want to ask Now? that would be RONALDINHO

Ronaldinho is better hands down. He has a lot more potential and is a huge playmaker. He also has done alot more for club and international teams than Zidane.

Both are good. Zidane has been a good player all through his wonderful career, and he was the driving force in France's attack this world cup. But I've got to admit, Ronaldinho's got more creativity :-)

I think that Ronaldinho is a little bit better in terms of skill, not ball cantrol thaty are the same in that aspect, but ronaldiho just invents so many different ways to pass players. on the other hand if i had to choose one i would go for zizou. zizou can make the team play, he can pass players himself but if closely marked he can set players free. he makes average players look good. this is not the case with ronaldinho (obvious in both the chelsea and RM games..)
