Seriously if they keep this playing up, they have the talent and abilty to, I would say within 5 years. I'm being realistic. As a Penguins fan I say they make the playoffs this year and hoist the cup in about two or three at the latest.
Ok if you watched the team you would know they have more then 4 good players. Never heard a thing about Fluery wanting to leave, so short of you being in Pittsburgh and reading it in the paper I'd wonder how believable that is. As to teh team all indications are it should stay put. The city's one group all but endorsed Isle of Capri saying they have the best buisness plan. They aren't there to endorse anyone and basically said they won't endorse them hoping the others improve their plans. Thing is though short of teh others getting much better that "endorsement" is going to be a big thing when Isle of Capri fights for the license. If they win they will build the Arena and the Penguins are required to stay if a new arena is built. Not sure how long they are required but I do remember Mario saying it will be required.

With the talent they have right now? A long time. Four good players don't make a Stanley Cup winning team. And Staal won't be around for more than another couple of days because he's going back to the minors, and won't be eligible to return to the Pens. Malkin and Crosby are good, but they can't carry the team. From everything I've heard, Fleury doesn't like the city and likely won't stay very long. I think the team will be moved to Hamilton long before it wins another cup.

GO PENS!!! Everyone is very excited with what is goin on upair in Pittsburgh. It'll take a couple of years to get the playoff experience, but if new ownership can keep these boys together for a while anything looks possible. GO PENS!!!

Soon. They have so much young talent. Crosby's leading the team. Malkin is on fire, making up for the time he missed. Jordan Staal is even better than his brother. And Fleury is defending their net pretty well.
