The best places to look are locally owned video stores that have been around a while. But, yeah I hate when movies come out on dvd and either the studios can't wait long enough to retain song rights or song rights are unobtainable for some other reason. Like the 'Return Of The Living Dead' has the original songs on the first video that came out. The latest video release AND the dvd release have about 6 new songs taking the place of the classic ones. The artists involved have their songs tied up in probate because the small labels they were on back then went bankrupt, so the rights can't be given out. It was only a few years back when they could finally release the music from the movie Valley Girl.
