the coefficient of friction=the frictional force divided by the normal force

here the normal force is 1760 N and the fricitional force is 400N so we divide and the coefficient of friction is .23

This is the simplest type of friction question.
Remember F=uN, where u is the coefficient
So transposing gives you F/N=u, or 400/1760=0.227
