I'm hoping to be a viking for halloween. Aside from the helmet, what should I wear for the rest of the costume? I'm a 20 yr old girl and I don't have much time to shop, I'm hoping to use what i have onhand. Any ideas?

Yes, I know they did not wear helmets with horns. I'm going for Halloween fun, not historical accuarcy. I need opinions on the simple stuff too like pants and shirt.

Ok, first off Vikings didnt wear the silly hats with horns.
Women in Viking society would have worn a t-tunic style dress, like a kirtle, with a rectangluar apron over it. Below the shoulder on each side would be a large brooch and strung between the brooches would be strands of beads, trinkets, baubles etc. anything of worth to show off wealth. Bracelets and armbands would be appropriate too. Leather shoes, wool wrapped legs. Belt over apron.

I say go sexy Viking. Short torn skirt, fur or studded bra, some of those mukluk type boots and a horned helmet. When in doubt, consult the greatest Viking of them all, Hagar the Horrible.

BE a valkyrie,,, go and find in the internet,, u can always make it up yourself,, its not about buying exp and fancy stuff,, but if u make it, its worth a lot ,, plus its unique,,, u can do anything with it :) good luck
