I wouldn't. Plain and simple. If you have to keep track of every dime spent , that means he don't trust you and without trust there is no relationship.

Depends on why. My hubby is not very good with keeping track of money. Does he want more responsibility? Is it control issues? Do you have a job or is it his money? If it is his money he may want to keep track in how much you spend to pay what needs to be paid. I can not answer you on why exactly because I do not know the circumstances. Sometimes money is one of the biggest issues in a marriage. My hubby learned that he is not good at budgeting. So we write everything down to see how much we are spending. He pays the bills and I keep money from being gone in a second. Then whatever we have left is spent on fun or whatever else is needed.

Maybe the poor guy just works his *** off and doesn't want to see his money get thrown away on junk. Maybe he's being fiscally responsible. I don't see anything wrong with wanting to know where the money is going. In fact, I say shame on you people who don't take good care of money flow. That's why there is so much debt today, because of fiscal irresponsibility. This is certainly not a bad trait that this guy is showing.

it sounds as though money may be very tight in the home. If you love him, stand by his side and don't make him feel like a failure for being in this situation. Try your hardest to write things down. Keep a pad of paper in your car and when you come out of the store write down how much you spent. Money problems won't last forever. Good luck.

It's easy, just write down what is spent. It's not such a bad thing. In fact, that is so responsible. It's what we do in our marriage. You need to know what you're spending your money on. When it comes to budgeting, the most helpful thing is to give each dollar a name (so to speak). If you don't manage your money, it will manage you.

I couldn't do it. What is this compulsive obsessive stuff anyway?? He's got problems. Is there a way to get to the bottom of why he acts the way he does? If you love him get him into counseling. He is controlling you and the longer you put up with it the worse it will get. It'll start with the money and get worse from there... My heart goes out to ya

Is it your money, his money, or both of your money? If you earn your own money you should be able to spend it as you wish (after the bills are payed) If it is his money than I am afraid you will just have to keep track of it, as irritating as it may be.

I couldn't live like that for even a day. He must be controlling in other ways as well. It can't be healthy for you to live like this.
