Mine likes distance and freedom coz when I was trying to be closer to him we'd end up mad at each other and I'd want to leave him.

Show interest in things he likes to do. You don't have to enjoy everything he does but by showing you care enough to be interested. Talk to him and really listen when he talks to you. In later years listening . . . really listening . . . is often nonexistent. Too much life gets in the way - kids, work, everyday life, and a million other things that steal your attention.
Most of the time when your spouse knows you care, it is enough.

well to start with listen to him while he's talking even if you have no interest in what he is talking about.stand by him with his choice in jobs, do things with him that he likes to do, take good care of him when he is sick, and feed him the way his mama used to. talk to him about things that make you upset so that you don't put up a wall between the two of you. ask him what he wants out of life. and tell him what you want. and what ever you do don't let your sex life get boring or less seldom.

The fact that your asking the question indicates that you really care about him and that's the most important thing you can do. just remember a husband needs his wife mentally and physically. A lot of wives forget about the physical part.

Hopefully you and hubby share the same hobbies and interests. Also the amount of time you are together will bring you closer if you are doing things that hold both of your interests.

Spend time reading to him, talking to him. Sharing your most innermost thoughts and feelings.

Why bother? Statistically, you'll be divorced and fighting over custody of the dog in 10 years anyway.
