I purchased my Dell Inspirion 6400 a few days ago and my neighbor who have a Accer told me ACCERs are better and Dell is recalling laptops because they are exploding. I am concerned really
Is that why they are so cheap now? Also I leave my battery plugged in is that okay?

Dell not recalling the Laptop but are the batteries. If you just bought it the other day and it new it should be ok unless it was manufactor 3 or more months ago.... If it was get with dell they will replace the batteries for free....before it explodes...

I dont think so cause as far as my knowledge it's only the battery that has a problem and dell already recalled it. And if you just bought it a few days ago, then there wont be any problem for it was already corrected.

Very, very few of the batteries had problems, and they have recalled all of those. The one you purchased a few days ago does not have one of those, and hence you will have no problems with that issue. I would tell your neighbor to research his stuff a little more before running his mouth, he is way off base here.

No, just a few bad batteries, check the battery recall list
By the way your neighbor is an Idiot!

It's not the laptops that are exploding. It is the battery that made by Sony. Because they are recalling the batterries.
