Because I feel MPFI engines are better in mileage and starting than the carburetor type engines.

It has a MPFI engine, but the LPG model of Wagon-R is currently not available in the market

Hi, the new Maruti Wagon R LPG uses a MPFI engine which is fitted with a LPG kit. When switched to the petrol mode the MPFI engine works and when turned to the the LPG option the kit turns on.

WagonR never had a carb engine, it's always been MPFI. Even the LPG uses MPFI. It's sure available, just that there's a long waiting period, probably a month; Maruthi underestimated the demand for the product.

MPFI. the LPG system comes with a pressure regulator which does the work of your accelerator pedal and pump. There is no other difference between regular petrol and LPG
