Not all roses smell good, in fact some have no smell at all, but the roses that I enjoy the scent of are: Angelface (which is a mauve color) Neptune, and Intrigue. There are some flowers with an unusual scent, Chocolate cosmos smell exactly like chocolate! Dianthus smell like cinnamon. Some herbs that smell wonderful, have pretty flowers, and you can also cook with, are Lavender, and Rosemary.
Sweet Allysum has a very strong and wonderful scent, and is an easy annual to grow from seed. Also, Sweet peas are easy to grow annuals with a pleasant scent.
Vines would be Jasmine, honeysuckle, And some Clematis.
Bulb flowers with strong scents, which can also be forced indoors in the winter, are Paperwhites, and Hyacinth.

There are 100's flowers that all smell different. Telling you what smells good is like telling you what perfume I like. However...Jasmine is one of the most popular, cleanest sented and easily grown flowers.

I would say Magnolias, by far.

They just have a very sweet smell that's unique. I guess it all depends on taste... But Magnolias have a strong and unique smell that most people really seem to like.

Roses. Also I love the smell of lilac bushes. Too bad they only last a short while.

My piano teacher has a rose bush in a garden that is growing really high; they smell really good, just like those air fresheners!
