you can rent any car, but if you want to try something that can really give you speed, take a look at the Zonda, thats if you have enough money!!!!

you do not need to hire a big car, alot of autobahs are only 2 lanes and have a speed limkit of about 80 mph, so do not worry
on the larger sections people do drive at 150 mph, keep an eye out in your rearview mirror
Munich always has traffic jams so no worries about speed

why worry about speed? as long as you stay on the most right lane, you can drive 55 mph and go with the flow. However, if you want to speed it up, take a BMW, still the ultimate driving machine!
But to be realistic, German motorways are very crowded, there might not be a lot a fast driving :-(

pressure to Munich (muenchen) or Konstanz, The autobahn is particularly congested at situations yet worth a seem. Scenic routes are the Black wooded area. Get a map, you'll want it to confirm the suitable places. good luck.

If you can afford it any Mercedes, Audi, or BMW would be great; or maybe a Porsche (ca. 200 EUR per day plus fuel at AVIS)? But keep in mind that depending on traffic conditions and speed limits it's very unlikely you'll be able to go 200 mph - maybe not even 100 mph...
For examples (cars and rates) try:
https://www.europcar.com
or
http://www.avis.de/ (only in german but klick on "Fahrzeuge und Preise" and then on "FunCars Deutschland" - )

i would suggest any mercedes benz, if you can afford it. The rental prices there are not as expensive as they are in the states, but just remember that gas costs 5 bucks a gallon. I would settle for something like a diesel S or E class Benz
