Yes it is. It doesn't matter if you don't think a wiffle bat is a weapon, the legal system does, if there is a complaint. Especially if you got her drunk to do this. Sounds a little like premeditated assault.

You don't get to ask and answer your own question. It is abuse to hit a spouse with anything - even a whiffle ball bat.

If she tells you to stop and you don't...then its abuse. If youre just playing and she knows it...its not abuse. Its only abuse if you are physically or mentally hurting the other person. If youre calling her names and tapping her with the bat..its abuse.(If she didnt tell you to do it....)
