What is the goriest movie that you can think of? Doesn't have to be a horror movie. I've seen a few war movies that top a lot of horror films.

Damn good question... hrmmmm.
Saving Private Ryan would be the most violent... but it's realistic and not gratuitous. I hesitate to classify it as "gore".
Starship Troopers on the other hand - "Let's put a bunch of soft, fleshy humans against an army of walking razor blades." I would have to nominate this one!
Final Destination 2 + 3 have my vote for goriest horror movies though.

There are two for me:
1) Lucio Fulci's The Gates of Hell (The U.S. title, since this is Italian). There is one scene in which this woman throws up her own organs!
2) Zombie (U.S. title). Also directed by Fulci. There's one scene that involves a broken piece of door and a victim slowly being pulled toward it. You just KNOW where it will end up!
I will tell you one thing: I have never made the attempt to see these films again. I saw them when I was about 14 or so, and they creeped me out so bad that I had nightmares for MONTHS!

Wasn't a movie per say but Faces of Death especially the part were the crush the monkey's head and eat his brain.

day of the dead was ok, have you seen em all? i think of have, 2 nights, 2 dawns, 1 day and the land but that wasnt so cool
