Nope, men have been bashing each others heads in since the first cave man picked up a stick and beat the snot out of another. If we weren't fighting over religion, it would be land, water, other resources, hell anything! There has been, and always will be war. That's why i get so disgusted on here with the "Can't we all just get along" types, they need to kinda get real.

No. Definitely not. History shows that if there is even a small matter of interpretation of a particular religious practice that is open to disagreement, then folks will find it and defend their way of looking at it with violence. Centuries later they might be able to sit and discuss it calmly but the damage will be done by then.

The opposite route won't help much either. Banning something will only make it stronger.

Looks like we're stuck with what we have.

No, there would be something else that would be found to argue about. Until there is some type of global enlightenment and synchronized anger management, peace will be unattainable. Religion is not the reason for war, it's just one excuse.
Okieboy: I agreed with you up till you bashed people that want peace. Not wanting war isn't something that should be sneered at.

Untill Jesus comes returned and Locks up those Devils, there won't fairly be a huge gamble for Peace all over the Earth, yet have been think to aim our maximum suitable.

NO, because religion is not the only matter that causes people to fight. On the top of that, fighting and war is fun. That's what human live for. We can fight against each other for many different things/reasons; wealth, women, dignity, and so on. You want peace? Die.

Having one religion is not the answer. As long as there are evil people in the world there will always be wars and unrest.

No.
people are still people - we all are different whether we believe the same religion or not. And people being people, we would still fight about other stuff.
I think cultural differences make us all more different than our religious beliefs. And it would be sooo boring if the world was only one big culture.

Oh, I doubt it. We do not have peace because of religion, not real religion. We have wars because of greed.. everyone wants more. Ireland fought for hundred of years and called it a religious war.. what stupidity.. God did not intend for us to kill each other in his name.. no we kill for greed and selfishness and power. There will never be peace until we are all dead and in heaven or where ever it is that each person believes in. never!!!

I still think there would be disagreements and fights for control of the religion. Just take one rule out of the bible do onto others and that would work just fine.

If everyone believed the same exact religion then maybe.

If you are describing a single world religion mandated by the governments then clearly no.
