It seems that no matter what explanation people come up with for not liking Bush, they're attacked and scrutinized.

Yet if you bring up Nixon or Clinton, nobody has a problem with talking smack.

I guess this goes both ways.

But all the people that don't appreciate Bush get quite a handful of "thumb downs" and everyone that likes him get a handful of "thumb ups".

Is this just a method of patriotism?

I mean honestly,... when is it OKAY to scrutinize Bush without getting reported or accused of not being a "true American citizen"?

And please provide real answers. This is a perfectly legitimate question.

of course it is OK to scrutinize Bush...but why do many liberals and Dem's have no respect for leadership, i personally couldn't stand Clinton...but i chose not to say things about him until he was out of office...Bush is being attacked by every side...Democrats/Liberals, Media, Foreign Media, Terrorist propaganda, Iran, N. Korea, etc...and many of these things aren't Bushes fault...he is cleaning up the mess others left behind...when will the left understand that their attack on Bush hurts our troops...it hurts America...another country will become the super power in the world because we gave it to them...because we are not strong enough and not unified enough to stand together...fyi...the world will always hate number one...which number one in the world do you want, America, china, middle east, ???...

there is not any logical reason for liking or disliking absolutely everyone. those are emotional outbursts from those mentally conditioned via the DNC and the media. bear in mind, the congress voted overwhelmingly in want of the two wars; the two Republicans and Democrats. The Democrats have been on top of problems with the Congress (the two residences) for 2 years now and did no longer something to advance the financial disaster, the two. traditionally talking, all this feels like the way Abraham Lincoln became attacked via the Democratic Press for the period of the civil war. history proved him perfect. enable's see how President Bush is dealt with interior the history books.

Each Republican Administration tries to depict themselves as FDR-- because of Roosevelt;s supreme greatness in shepherding a nation through a massive world war. The snowjob of mirroring Roosevelt was intense under Bush's Republican leaders who mimick speeches of those times (including the Nazis) and do everything possible to keep Americans going along with the Bush agenda of world domination and US citizen suppression and a dismantling of all rights. Hence, no criticism allowed.

US family patriarchs either lived during WWII and the aftermath or were born close enough to that period to have a communal memory that leads them to be lulled by those phony FDR/Bush messages tinged with the heroics of World War II. So these patriarchs, too, have guided themselves and their families to follow Bush's faulty WWII propaganda game.

Moreover, Americans in general are spoiled by the work of the forefathers who created the greatest Constitution of all time. Now Americans need to wake up and realize that it has been demolished.

Realize that Bush is a former Frat boy who never had to succeed in anything in life. He has been getting bailed out by his father's powerful friends since he was a child. He's failed at every enterprise that's been handed to him.

Even now, his father's friend, James Baker, had to step in and tell Bush that Iraq is a hell hole. Bush has lived an exclusively cushy life holding the hands of pampered Arab princes and other weird dudes. He has no decorum, he curses and chews with his mouth open in world summits, he never traveled before he was handed the Presidency (twice). Other Heads of States think he's disgusting.

It has in the past been unacceptable to criticize Bush or Israel (which receives tens of Billions of taxpayer dollars from the US) no matter what atrocities have been committed.

This time, Americans should take control of their government. Call them, write them, visit them, vote and make sure Emergency Paper Ballots are available on Nov. 7th by calling their local governments now.

It is not that President Bush cannot be scrutinized because I don't agree with him on every issue but it is the hate, name calling, and lack of respect for the Presidency. I did not agree with Clinton politically but I would never stoop to the level that I have seen directed toward President Bush.

Your question assumes that Bush supporters can be logical. So its flawed from the start.

Conservatives are loyal to people, not ideas. They would find a way to defend Bush if he stabbed a kitten to death on live TV. I think its a very paternal type thing. They think, on some level, that he is their daddy or something. Thats why they had extra hate for Clinton.. that blond hair gave him a boyish look. ..Not fatherly at all! Thats why they still swoon for Reagan. He had that fatherly look.

It's ok to admit Bush is a step above retarded. We overthrew Sadaam to preserve/prove that right.
