It's a college/university community, so you're going to have more liberal people there. Hair color isn't a political issue, though. More and more people embrace their age, and its markings, and feel that it's a sign of wisdom and grace, rather than old-age.

I happened to live in Ann Arbor for over 3 weeks and walked all over the town and did not notice gray. In fact, I noticed a lot of different colors and it was refreshing. Didn't matter whether it was gray or not. Course, in between people watching, I was watching my 21 yr old daughter get loads of powerful chemicals dumped into her body to prepare her for a bone marrow transplant in order to save her life from Hodgkins Lymphoma. BTW, she had no hair, was proud to wear it and STILL looked beautiful. Careful how you judge someone. True life is much deeper than your hair color and I have known some young people go gray early.
Have a great day! Oh, and it has been a year and she remains cancer free!!!!

Wow! You have your head screwed on a bit tight, don't ya?
I wear my hair gray because it is gray. I earned my gray hair!!
I act like I act because that is who I am. I am happy with who I am, aging and looking like it. I am not acting like anything that I am not. I would be pretending to be something that I am not if I colored my hair.
And why would you care so much what color my hair might be?
What does gray hair have to do with being a liberal? I have never heard that one before!
Thanks for the laugh kiddo. I will avoid Ann Arbor like the plague now...just in case there are more like you there.

Shallow.....Shallow people typically embrace stereotyped social roles, especially gender roles. They usually place excessive value on the appearance of something, sometimes judging themselves and others entirely by their looks, which gives the impression of vanity and arrogance even though they may possess neither of these attributes
Main Entry: 1lib·er·al
BROAD-MINDED; especially : not bound by authoritarianism,
Its to bad your parents act so old, the age of 50 of today is different of the 50 of 20 years ago
I am 47, Have lots of gray and a touch of liberal in me (and a touch of conservatism)

You contradicted yourself in your own question. They wear their hair gray, but they're trying to act young? Why would that make them liberal now?
I really have no idea what you're trying to ask or say, I just found that really odd.

Grow up. If that's how your thinking is, turn it around. It's natural. You don't say anything about bald, why not insist they wear toupees ? You already looking for breast enhancement?

If you are fortunate to live long enough, then you'll understand girlie...Continue your education, get on birth control, and better yourself. Being older and mature isn't a bad thing. Ask your teachers....

if they were trying to act like they were young they would dye their hair and pretend like they were younger. dying your hair damages it so why would they want to do that? maybe if you weren't so stupid you would understand that
