induced ... "prevented" means "kept from happening", while "induced" means "caused to happen".

Also notice that "prevented" is a past tense verb. "Clamoring" is a participle, "potent" is an adjective, and "torrent" is a noun, so none of them can possibly be antonyms of a verb.
