Is it just bloody dead bodies or gallons of spurting fake blood?
On the scale of 1 to 10 how would you rate teh Gorriness in the Bone Collector?

It's a very good suspense thriller with an unexpected twist for the detective - a bed-ridden Denzil Washington - at the end. The murder (torture?) of the victims is handled carefully so as not to show too much; more sound than sight.
So, I would recommend it to all but the most squeamish of people and give it a 'gory rating' of 2 at most.

It's been a while since I've seen it but I don't remember it being gory at all. It may have had a little blood but definitely not gallons spurting anywhere. 1 to 10, I give it a 2. It is pretty disturbing in some scenes but not because of blood or goriness. A very good suspenseful thriller!! I highly recommend it!

I love mystery / suspense / thrillers but I really don't like gore. I loved the bone collector, I would give it a 2 - 3 on the goriness scale (more implied than shown, but some shown). Aliens was gorier, Road House was gorier, Sleepy Hollow was gorier, The Missing was gorier, I've even seen some t.v. series on cable that are gorier (Heroes, last week had a moment or two =)
Hope you can relate to some of those comparisons!

I don't remember the Bone Collector being that gory...there are some more distrubing scenes, but it's more of a mystery/thriller than all about the gore. I'd say a 3.

The version I saw on TV was not gory at all.
But maybe that was already edited.

I didn't think it was that gory. There's some implied gore, but they don't show much, and even that was pretty limited.
If you've watched movies about investigating murders before, then this one wouldn't be much different.

its not real gory maybe about a five but it is really a good show
