When you see someone on Yahoo! answers has prefaced their question with "serious answers only", do you feel the urge to give them a silly answer - just because?

Normally I don't give silly answers, but when someone prefaces their question with that "serious answers only", I feel the need to do it...

No, I do not have that urge. It's all about boundaries; some respect them without question, others test them.

You must have been a rebellious (strong-willed) child. I'll bet you turn around when the person you're talking to says "don't look now" while referring to someone behind you too, don't you? hehe! :)

I feel he was crying fake tears the whole time. He's completely not serious about the relationship and he's wasting your FEELINGS on him. Don't give your heart away to an insecure, cold-hearted person like that. He sounds like he's just toying with you. He looks like he just wants to know how far he can go into breaking you down until you finally say you've had enough. I don't think he's the right one for you, sweetie. There are plenty of worthier men out there for you to choose, but seriously not this one you're talking about. Over time, you'll forget about him. Don't worry. You might love him but it doesn't mean that you can't put that love onto someone else more worthy. Best of luck.

Yes, in a sense. If like you say they prefaced it with serious answers only, I read the question and if it is not ignorant or stupid, I will give an honest answer. If I deem it stupid, then they get a stupid answer.

Nah but sometimes someone will have a stupid question or phrase it stupid and I can't help but give a silly question. Such as earlier "Why do black people look down on Asian's" "Because Asian's tend to be shorter". It's horrible but seriously the wording was just to perfect to let it slide!

actually i usually write silly answers but depending on the question that follows "serious answers only" depends on if i'll get serious.

Now why are you so serious about this question?

it varies how serious it is. on one hand, you have these silly kids asking dating relationship questions, sex, etc and they ask only serious answers. on the other hand, yo have someone who's lost everything and is thinking about ending it all. if you know u can help someone, then all jokes are thrown out and it shouldnt be taken lightly

in my case, serious questions need serious answers, while silly questions get silly answers.
