Anytime you have lots of water that is moving with enough force to turn a turbine you can generate electricity from it. Mostly rivers and dams. But ocean tides and currents could be used as well.

it is a form ofenergy derived from the kinetic motion of water.
when water is allowed to fall from a height on the blades, the kinetic energy of water is transferred to the blades which are turbine blades actually. they run the generators and we can have electric energy with it.

hydrolic energy, it's a way to get energy withou burning natural gases that contribute to global warming. :)
