Hi
You will need to do a test on the fabric to see if you can clean it. Be careful with what product you uses. I would use “Nature's Miracle” this is a liquid containing enzymes that feed on the organisms that give urine its odours. You can buy it at Petsmart.
First you will need to do is a test. To do the test spray the cleaner, using the back edge of the cushion spray a spot about the size of a quarter and wipe it with a white towel and let it dry on it’s own.
If you get colour transfer onto the towel it is not safe to clean.
If there is no change in colour and no watermark then it is safe to clean or spot clean.
If there is a watermark but no colour change it is safe to clean only thing is you will need to clean the whole thing. (to stop watermarks) you can not spot clean.
If you decide to clean it DO NOT do a lot of scrubbing on the fabric because you can cause damage to the fabric.
If you decide to spot clean only you can use a hair dryer to speed up the drying (less chance of leaving a watermark).
If you clean the whole sofa you are probably best to set up a fan to help dry the sofa.
Hope this helps

You could try baking soda since it is good for removing odors. I'd lightly dampen the spot on your sofa with water and then sprinkle the baking soda, leaving it on about half an hour, then vacuum off.
Also, I just saw this yesterday in a Harriet Carter catalog I got in the mail. They have a product called Urine Gone just for the type of problem you are describing. Just go to harrietcarter.com and put in Urine Gone in the product search. A 24oz bottle costs $19.98.

There's plenty of "urine-be-gone" products in the pet area of the grocery store, a pet store or a walmart type store.... The stuff is pretty amazing and it eradicates (neutralizes) the urine - with the smell and stain. If it works with dogs - I'm certain it will work for you.!!!! Dogs smell even the tiniest bit.

Sprinkling Borax on it, letting it sit for a few hours and vacuuming it up might help. Pet stores sell enzyme cleaners that may help.
