Some have argued that rock and other types of music and subculture lead youth to commit crime. Scholars have failed to find evidence of a causal connection between listening to certain types of music and committing crime but this stereotype continues to be perpetuated by the media. I would encourage you to address this in whatever piece of work you are completing on the topic of youth and music. Good Luck!

Jen you not even trying...... There are whole books on the subject. Think about it? It influences Fashion, the use of drugs, political ( rock the vote, vote or die) and social activism( live aid, we are the world song), The music industry(Rock displaced Jazz, & big band music starting in 1955). Etc, etc,, etc., etc.
And that was off the top of my head. Come on try next time....

this probably has to do with the fact that many children are very impreshionable.
