I got rid of them by tearing up pieces of juicy fruit gum and laying it around their holes. It has to be juicy fruit, I suppose, because that specific scent is very attractive to moles.
They will eat it and it will get caught in their digestive system. They will perish.
Good luck

Well first you have to kill their food and put down a heavy coat of grub killer. Next, go to Home Depot and get grub pellets they come in a container shaped like a cone over by the fertilizer syuf. Look at your yard for the mole line and a few spots where the ground is dug up from underneith. Simply stick a few of the pellets in the hole where the moles burrow. They will eat it and die. You can also purches traps if you dont wanna kill them.

Traps are the best way. I found a choker loop trap made by Nash and in a year I've caught more than a half dozen of the buggers! Better garden centers will more likely have this type of trap than will "box" stores. They are MUCH more effective than the "fork type" traps, particularly in clay soil.
Eliminating the food source is a good idea, but it's difficult. Moles will eat insects and worms as well as grubs. Killing bad bugs (like grubs) means killing good ones (like earthworms), too.
To trap the moles, you have to learn where their runs are and place your trap in their main runs. Step down all the runs as they occur and keep an eye out for those that contantly re-appear. Set your traps in those runs.. and good luck.
After you catch your pests, keep an eye out for any new activity. Other moles will eventually find their way into your yard. Unless all of your neighbors are all vigilant mole hunters, you will probably get them again sometime down the road.
Although my answer is probably not the most sensitive to those loving animals of all kinds, consider that many other mole abatement solutions require the use of ground applied pesticide- and you know that pesticide runs off into lakes and streams.. killing other animals!
I hate moles, too. Best of luck in your trapping.

If you or a friend has a cat that uses a litter box, get some of the "used" litter"-mostly the urine sand into a zip-lock bag. Go out and find the openings of the mole holes, and pour the nasty urine sand down the mole hole, Cover back up the hole and voila-moles gone. Cat urine is a predator smell.
Plus the sand won't hurt the yard or garden!

There must be a food source in your yard. Get rid of that and the moles should go away. Usually it's grubs.

You can try to trap them. Then take them far away to a park or forest & let them go.
If you are are really teed off & have tried all the friendly ways to get rid of them it may be time to poison them. But you have to be sure that any other animals won't get the poison.
Get some rat poison & mix it with peanut butter & put it as deep in to the hole as you can. There are I am sure much better ways to
get rid of them. You just might have to try several things.

go to wal-mart or some other dept. store and buy one of the windmills. usually around 25 dollars. place it in your yard and moles will leave. they cant stand the vibration it sends thru the ground. i was skeptical till i tried it in my yard. i havent had moles in 4 years now.

One that I suggested for my brother who had the same problem was moth balls. Use the ones marked Para or Paradichlorobenzene. Drop a few in each hole and push it closed with your foot. The critters can't stand them, worked wonders for my brother. The Para ones are non-toxic to kids and pets. Don't use the Napthalene ones, those are poisonous.
