This is the encyclopedia description of a parent:
A parent is a father or mother; one who begets or one who gives birth to or nurtures and raises a child or a relative who plays the role of a guardian.
My description of a parent:
The one or ones that feed, cloth and nurture a child. Teach them right from wrong, good from evil, love from hate, etc. Teach them how to treat people and how to handle all the things that life will throw at them. Above all the ones that give unconditional love.

The role of a parent is not just to raise a child. It also holds responsibility, strength, and patience. You have to provide for not only yourself, but another life form. Something that really truly isn't understood until you have a child of your own.
