What would society be like if social norms didn't exist?

social norms control our laws an behaviours so if you take it away it would all go to the proverbial,,,social norms do change though.

well, there are billions of social norms. one, for example, is the social norm of having to be polite and small-talk. for example, saying "how are you" to people we really don't care about and saying things like "wow it's cold today isn't it" just so there isn't awkward silence. i think if society didn't have this particular social norm, we would be a much quieter society.

for some it may be the need to control and for others to better the world,but whatever the purpose of others is for me whats good is good and what's bad is bad
