My h.s. reunions have been alot of fun and enjoyed them very much. About all the bragging, keep in mind your buddies have matured somewhat, and most would be reserved. Yeah they might mention their position in life or that new Caddy, but I found that the positives of your reunion would very much out weigh the negatives.
My last reunion was a couple of years ago, and I found out that a certain underclassman was going to be there. During our h.s. years we didn't like each other and almost got into a fist fight.
I had come a long distance to the reunion, and had I known in advance he was going to be there I wouldn't had made the trip.
Anyway, after meeting him again, I left there thinking a lot of him.
So go on to your reunion. You'll be glad you did.

I graduated from High School in 1959 and I have been to all of my reunions. At the 20 year reunion I realized i had little if anything in common with my old buddies but that I had a great deal in common with people I barely knew or even did not like. I have really enjoyed seeing who bloosome out and who never grew up and which ones became solid people.

Mine was a blast. I wasn't at all that popular in High School but we all did know each other. I helped organize it with 2 other people that I was not friends with back in the day. I think that helped encourage people to attend. Sure, some folks never showed I think because of the reason you stated above but seriously, at 10 years one should expect a lot out of their classmates. If they went on to med or law school they would only just now be practicing or starting out.
It was great to see everyone well past the silliness of high school. Everyone looked great, they all had come into their own and were confident about themselves rather than concerned about what other thought. Former geeks were dancing with former cheerleaders, former goths were doing shots with former football players... it was loads and loads of fun and no one was walking around bragging or being stupid.
18 is one thing. 28 is an entirely different world.

Never went to any of them yet. From what I hear, it was still the same exact cliques that there were in high school. Those are all the people I never liked in the first place.
I might go to my 25 year reunion in a couple of years, just out of sheer, morbid curiousity. I just wish the people I'd actually be interested in seeing would come to the reunions, but those are the people who seem to drop off the face of the earth.

I have never been to any of my high school reunions - and I have had many (last year was 25 years). Most of the people I went to school with still live in this little tiny town, so I still see a lot of them once in a while.

I've gone to 2 of mine, the 10 year and the 15 year. Same people that were stuck up in high school, were still stuck up. I have no desire to go to another one. The best part was some of the "losers" in high school, had done the most with their life!

I would never go to mine. I rather not live that point of my life again and have a bunch of people I haven't seen since High School talk to me like we were the closest of friends.

We have never had one and probably never will! Our class really wasn't that close. There was only a few of us that are still good friends. Most of the people I went to school with sucked!

I think it would be cool to go to one ten years from when I graduated and see how everyone grew up. I'm not looking forward to it now, but later on in the future (if I'm still alive), I would want to.
