No. The cure for the world's evils and problems is two-fold. Advanced education for everyone, and prevent abuse/stress in the lives of children that leads to crime and mental health problems.

Sociology is not the cure for anything but an understanding of Sociology will certainly inform you of the nature of the disease. A lack of knowledge about Sociology is what makes scientists and most politicians so ignorant about society.

It's not a cure for anything, except ignorance. I personally like "Symbolic Interactionism" myself, but I also ilke "Transactional Analysis" which is not Sociology, but a form of Psychology. The cure for all the world's problems is for each person to became an emotionally mature adult, and act that way.
