They didn't think they would stop the terrorist in Germany after WWII. The Americans executed nearly a thousand and imprisoned thousands more. The British executed thousands and the Russians executed tens of thousands. Most people in the world thought the Germans were too barbaric to ever stop, but they did. They did when they finally figured out they were destroying their own country and its infrastructure.

The Iraqis are no different today. One day soon they will realize they have discovered who the true enemy is and that it is themselves, and that is when the war in Iraq will be over—with or without the United States Army being there.

The "war on terror" is an unwinnable proposition. You don't make war on a verb! Terrorism is an attitude, not a definable, pinpointable enemy. It's like saying you're going to make war on curiosity or on envy or on femininity. It's like making war on the concept of being dog! Further, whenever it appears that the Administration's behavior in Iraq and Afganistan is blowing up in their faces yet again, they keep revising the definition of the war. We didn't win the war against Nazi Germany by attacking bremmstralung! We won it by attacking German panzers and disabling German heavy industry.

The more advanced countries just invent their own terror and then identify it where they want it to be, so they can then attack to achieve their agendas.

You cant fight terror it is an idea "the war on terror" is just buzz words to keep the sheeples happy at home and not thinking too much.

No. But I do think we will become isolationists. There is really almost nothing we need to import, including oil, if we'd just make some adjustments to the way we live. When we make those changes we can say "Screw all of you" to the rest of the world. That's when terror will fade away from us.

Quite simply...

No.

I wouldn't use the term 'win' at all because that would imply that they actually gained something when in reality, they have lost lives and money. I don't know what term i would use. But it's defenitely not 'win'. I guess it's just another successful invasion... But even that use of wording sucks.

The amount of lives lost on both fronts has been incredible. So there is no winning. Just a resting period between battles.
