ok, so i understand now that the ps3 has the best graphics and the xbox360 is second, and the wii is third. but i dont own an HDTV, and im not a big movie buff, so if i had all three of these systems all set up on regular non-HDTV's in a row, which one would be the best? and if so, by how far?
cause im just assuming the wii has the least graphics still even if you had all of them on non-HDTV's, but i just want to know how much of a difference there would be in the graphics if they were all hooked up to non-HDTV's
once again, i can not reiterate this enough, DO NOT TELL ME WHAT THE GRAPHICS WILL BE W/ AN "HDTV" i dont have one, nore will i buy one just for a gaming system. just let me know what it'll look like on a regular tv

Unless you have a 60" TV it will be hard to tell the difference between any of them....but do know that the WII was not made to play DVDs anyways and Nintendo graphics are meant for kid type fun, it is not really a high graphic system.
Universal just released an interesting HD sheet today - one thing I thought was cool was that HD DVDs play on regular DVD players. Also there is a huge shortage of blue lasers for PS3 so the BluRay will be slow to take hold. Next year should be the start of next gen product taking hold, and then in 2008 it should begin to be the norm rather than the exception to have HD/BR whatever in people's homes.

The Nintendo's Wii, Will Have Game Cube Graphics... So There's Nothing Special. The Xbox 360, Has Great Graphics, It Can Play Some Xbox Games, And The Characters Sometimes A Little Stiff. Then, There's The PS3, It Will Have The Best Graphics To Date. It Can Play All Previous PS1 And PS2 Games. Now With An HDTV,... The Graphics Will Be Out Of This World!!!

It's a tough call. In actually, while many people think the PS3 is many times better than the 360, the PS3 and 360 have similar graphical capabilities. they just have extremely different architectures. Yes, the PS3 will be better, but not much; probably how the original Xbox compared to PS2. They both will look amazing whether you have an HDTV or not. I do know that the 360 has optimized settings for each format, so you get the best possible picture regardless of the TV. Just make sure you're using good cables and a decent quality TV. I'd guess the PS3 would have that optimization too. The 360 looks amazing on our 50 inch plasma and my cheap 20 inch Samsung. I'll tell you that much!

well the wii isn't supposed to have ground breaking graphics, so you can rule that out. The 360 has amazing graphics, even on a regular TV, I know cause I have one and only regular tvs. I've also brought it over to my friends house who has an HDTV, about 1000 times better. But comparing xbox to xbox 360 when both are on a regular tv... I say about 100 times better. I couldn't tell you much about the PS3, I dislike sony alot, and I still say the 360 kicks it's butt.

I wont talk about the Wii.(No reason to.)
On a regular TV the 360 and PS3 look just about the same. Plain and simple.
Like you asked, Nothing about HDTV mentioned.

The graphics don't matter much anyway but I'd say ps3 would have the best graphics on a regular tv. I'd prefer to get Wii though.
