About as funny as "granny panties"!!

Because they are part of the stereotypical image of the uptight old person; plus, an added advantage--they are that uptight old person EXPOSED! It is a basic tenet of comedic theory! Cheers!
P.S. Somehow it has to be the right kind of person to look funny in tighty whities. It doesn't have the same comedic effect when I see Clint Eastwood wearing them in "Play Misty for Me" .

I don't know, but they are. I loved the Burger King Commercial which used the song "I am woman, hear me roar!" where they burned their bras. In the commercial, the guys burned their tidy whiteys. I almost fell off the couch laughing!
