That was brutal and demeaning. My mom had parkinsons disease it was like that and it was horrible. When she got nervous she got worse. It was so embarrasseing for her.
But Rush Limbaugh is always critizeing people and he is a dope addict. But this was cruel even for him.

Fox is really big on stem cell research because of the fact that Parkinsons is the one of the most possible cures from it.
It's not so much political as he is trying to get people to ok something that would give him a cure. Can't blame the guy. But the wording is wrong in the Amendment and Many people aren't aware of what it's all about. He would support the other guy too if it would get Missourians to vote yes. Which I'm not.

Michael Fox said that he did not take his meds to show what he was like during his most uncontrolled periods. He has ups and downs like anyone with any condition, but wanted to show what it was like in his shoes. Because of his condition, Fox was in a position unassailable by any decent, caring person with any humanity at all. I believe that Fox is non-political except for the stem cell issue...Because I have never heard him say anything political except for the stem cell issue, I believe his motivation is apolitical...but since the Republican platform is anti-stem cell, he's a democrat. Rush Limbaugh attacked Fox because he is a Democrat and to Rush all Democrats are wrong (If Rush only says the things he says on his show for "enertainment" purposes, it is no excuse--as I've heard others say. It doesn't matter, because the result is that he convinces many peopleto believe what he says...he is responsible for what he says). In my world, a decent person would not have accused a person of faking his real illness for political gain..Rush just looks like the jackass he is for saying the things he does.
Fox' appearances on this matter should not have attracted the attention of any political pundit. it should have been a nice piece in the paper on one side of the issue and that should have been it. Rush turned it into something else

Hey guys~ Michael J. Fox wasn't acting or faking in the ads... & of course he wasn't exaggerating... Parkinson's disease affects movement (motor symptoms) so that's why Michael J. Fox was terribly shaking & couldn't control his movement... What a horrible & mean thing to say to people who has Parkinson's disease...
Eventhough Limbaugh has made his apology, but for me it is already too late...
Shame on Senator Talent & Rush Limbaugh... Boo~

As with most things in politics there are two sides to every story and more than meets the eye. Several of my classes discussed this. Here are some interesting points I was able to verify.
1. Fox himself wrote in chapter eight of his book that he stopped taking his medication before testifying to congress some years ago. He wanted to amplify the effect of his illness. So he does have a record of "acting" on this.
2. Fox himself stated in an interview with Diane Sawyer that he stopped taking medication to increase awareness of his disease.
3. Fox has been seen (filmed) in recent weeks (presumably on his meds) doing just fine.
4. Fox's commericial is misleading on the proposition in Mo. The proposition does not "criminalize" stem cell research or it's patients. Stem Cell reasearch is legal, and the only argument is whether it should receive funding from govt. sources. The propostion by the way is badly misleading. While the title claims to be about stem cells, the wording is only about cloning cells.
Like Limbaugh or not, he's right on this one. I was dissapointed that Diane Sawyer didn't recall Fox's admission to her some years ago when she attacked Limbaugh this morning.

My first impressions to those comments were of anger and shame, but after I saw an interview with Mr. Fox shortly after, he briefly stated that he was happy to see people talking about stem cell research before an election. Yes I feel Mr. Limbaugh's comments could have shown a little more respect, however keep in mind free speech, everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

What he said was offensive and I believe he apologized already for it.
To imply that MJ was exaggerating was appauling. But that aside, parkinson's is a horrible and debilitating disease. Seeing what it does to the human body is a good thing, educating people on exactly how people suffer because of the disease is a good thing. Most people haven't had a lot of exposure to it other than Ali and if it's tough to watch, that's fine. It's tougher to live with it.
By the way, your party hasn't been right on everything. No party has ever been right on everything. Owning up to mistakes is a lot more respectable than attempting to "always be right."

Ur party is NEVER wrong where the hell u've been the last eight yrs. Bush has been in office? Where r "the bombs of mass destruction" reported by Bush and his cabinet and UR party? If Rush speaks for the entire Republican party then u should've been looking for another party yrs. ago. Rush is right sometimes just like we r all wrong sometimes. Ur comment that he is "never wrong" just proved how asinine u r and how wrong u r in following such insensitive creeps like Limbaugh who say anything to get attention whether it be good press or bad.

He admitted in his book, (Fox) that he purposely didn't take his meds before going in front of the Congress
To to mention when you look at what he said, it's simply factually innaccurate.
The canidtates that Fox is supporting is saying that their opponents don't support stem cell research. This is simply false. The debate is about FEDERALLY funded embryonic stem cell research.

Just because he has a disease, doesn't immunize him from critique. I have an affliction also, and i face harsh reviews for my actions all the time. That is life.
EDIT: If there was hint of success in embryonic stem cell research, private investors would be all over it.Therefore,no federal $$ needed.
