I always count them as exercise cause if i they were not exercise, i would still have all the calories i had before i went up them. I lost weight taking the stairs everyday, and once i got used to it, i started running up and down them, probably not to safe, but good workout when you're carrying heavy stuff. So i say count it as exercise! BUt be careful!

properly, taking place might burn energy too, yet taking the elevator may be effective. that's the going up that calls for extra power. Our group (rowing) coach used to make us do stairs as heat up. we'd initiate sluggish, then initiate strolling them, then take them 2 at a time, yet they consistently had us carry directly to the hand rails and take it uncomplicated on the some time past down. It wasn't my popular undertaking to do... On a area be conscious: in accordance to my actual therapist, i would be overwhelmed if I ever run stairs like that returned...I had a no longer so relaxing activities knee injury (from what i do no longer be responsive to precisely, yet maximum possibly a mixture of loads of issues) yet have relaxing =P

Counting stairs is not exercise, at work or elsewhere. I would only be exercise if you actually go up and down the stairs.
