b cuz they ask for donations and its a encyclopedia but people are about to edit the articles but it seems legit to me.

The WikiMedia foundation collects donations, those pretty much 99.9% go towards paying the massive bandwidth bill and the constant diskspace and server upgrades necessary. It's a legal charity in the US eligible for tax deductions so it's also legit there.

As for the accuracy of the information, always backup your information, it goes for any source, back it up.

Yes it is Legit.....It Only asks for Donations Because it Doesnt have Enough Sponsorers...It Needs to Run a WEBSITE....and Need Lots of Donations for it.....Hence it Asks for Donations.....

Yeah. It's a legit site, but they ask for donations to fund the webhosting. The traffic that they receive is CRAZY and that's how they like to keep it free.

It use to be ALOT better,..

Now I have watched people fight over an article all day some days (the article kept changeing between people and you could tell they were fighting over something).

Of course they will need MONEY to pay for space or servers and also to pay Yahoo! to put them towards the top of the list of results.
