Jesus championed the rights of the oppressed ,the down trodden and the afflicted...does that sound like a Republican to you?
It was in fact the very mind set that present day Republicans have that got Jesus nailed to the cross.

Jesus was not into politics.He had higher objectives in this world. A Chinese proverb says,"Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach him how to fish and he will eat forever". The liberals want to give him the fish, the republicans want to teach him to fish. Sad to say, the liberal party now does not ever consider war as necessary. They are not aware of this proverb----

Jesus was EVERYTHING.taking care of the poor,sick and elderly is human kindness and the theory of war as a last resort is what Jesus would do were the decision his to make!

No, I am nowhere near a liberal and most people that I know that are nowhere near being liberal know and understand the importance of taking care of the poor, sick and elderly. We have no problems with that. What we do have a problem with is encouraging slothful codependent behavior, enabling people to be nonproductive members of society while they receive handout after handout that they do not appreciate and take advantage of, encouraging people to be dependent on these government handouts while they dont work or contribute to society in any way while trying to make hardworking, successful citizens feel guilty because of what they have and give it up to help those who refuse to help themselves or others- this seems to be an almost exclusively liberal attitude.
Sorry, but that was not the attitude of Jesus- he expected those who he helped to get up off their bottoms, quit the sinful lifestyle that got them where they were in the first place and extend the same compassion and help to others- a hand up and pay it forward- definitely not the attitude of most liberals I encounter.

Were Jesus alive today he would be all about Universal Healthcare, Education, freedom of religion, judging not, etc. He probably would be "crucified" just as much now for his beliefs as well. I would have liked him quite a bit
Worshipful...you don't think our middle/upper middle/wealthy classes are teaching their children about lazy, apathetic, codependant, ungrateful behavior? Do you stop helping people because a few take advantage of it?
