Some companies wont allow you to invest into their stock programs straight up, requiring a broker. I would look up the company on their website and find a investor relations area. That should help. Personally I have an account with TD Waterhouse and never had a problem with their brokerage services and actually find their fees reasonable.

You could see if the company itself offeres a stock purchase program. The fees associated with this type plan are minimal at most and there are no commission fees. Most major companies have this type of plan. If that isn't an option, I would recommend using Sharebuilder.com. The commission is only $4 a transaction and you don't have to worry about account service fees that online brokers start rolling out when times go sour. Good luck to you!

Contact the company direct and ask if they have a DRIP program...dividend re-investment program. You can buy in to hundreds of stocks with minimal charge, no broker. You can buy a large amount of shares or small. Type in DRIP stocks and take it from there...Hope that helps?

Buy thru IPO or FPO,
otherwise you need to always pay to online broker a small amount ranging from 0.5%-1% of total transaction..
