Hohoho :)
There is one different tradition named "Hogueras" (bonfires), this tradition originated long before Christmas itself. It is the observance of the winter solstice, the shortest day of the year and the beginning of winter. It is characterized by people jumping over fires as a symbolic protection against illness. This fire-jumping can be seen primarily in Granada and Jaen.

Christmas is a deeply religious holiday in Spain. The country's patron saint is the Virgin Mary and the Christmas season officially begins December 8, the feast of the Immaculate Conception. It is celebrated each year in front of the great Gothic cathedral in Seville with a ceremony called los Seises or the "dance of six." Oddly, the elaborate ritual dance is now performed by not six but ten elaborately costumed boys. It is a series of precise movements and gestures and is said to be quite moving and beautiful.

interior the Roman calendar there wan no December twenty 5th and that i doubt if the pocket diary have been invented. Paganism began taking a back seat to Christianity, so there replaced into as quickly as a splendidly properly holiday putting around which in basic terms some persons have been using. i will additionally be incorrect in this factor, although I evaluate Christmas is meant to commemorate the commencing up of Christ instead than say it replaced into as quickly as His birthday. If i'm wrong, I shop my palms up and say it is in basic terms what I had on the back of my recommendations for some motive.

They say Feliz Navidad instead of Merry Christmas...LOL, otherwise it's not too much difference except maybe they don't spend as much on average.
