Like all english professors say, do not write about the death penalty or abortion because every third papaer is about one of those topics.
So, write about something you like. If you still cannot come up with a topic, then how about the effects of zero gravity on pop-tarts.

If its your english class, then take up something on English.
* Change of the language from shakespearan times to now.
* Different types of english(american/british etc)
* Phonetic English.
* Grammar structure and usage.
