Oh sweet singer, my bird of joy
settle on the branch of my soul and
harvest the verse within my longing heart
for I no longer can burn in passion's fire
without being heard
by my Only One
up, up now
with wings of my hope you must arise
soar upon the faceless wind
fly trough night's sapphire veil
and gently
with your heavenly voice
engrave my poem into the air to
let my lover's ear heed your tender tune
and blush her ivory cheeks with
my Love's Wine
oh my dear beloved
as I am walking through
your Rose Garden on the path of future
I can feel
within my heartbeats
there is a sub-harmonic melody
chanting louder and louder
streaming trough my whole existence
that touches everything and everyone around me
I see the trees are dancing as if they had been
washed by a summer rain-fall
strangers throw a glimpse of their smiles at me
as if they had been star kissed...
yet what they feel is not me but you my Dear
for I am just a humble portal for your sacred love
to move through and embrace my world
with the warmest touch
that keeps me melting even on the coldest winter night
Oh sweet singer, gracious Nightingale,
up, up now
Rise above the distant sky to deliver my gift and
squeeze a drop from my verse onto my lovers lip
for she no longer sleep without new dreams
without knowing that I love her...
Illuminati, dear poet, your words are holding a mirror
to her eyes and letting the reflection show
her purest beauty...
Is there an end to your Love's sea?
I think not...
Losing A Piece Of My Soul
by Jasmine Johnston
I came to you the hour I was in pain
Looking for answers, I cried to you in vain.
I shared the many skeletons hiding in my heart,
I knew then you'd be my friend,
I knew it from the start.
Troubles ran like rivers, flowing through my life,
You picked the pieces up and help me through my strife.
When home wasn't home to me no more,
You opened up your heart, and opened up the door.
We cried into night until the early morn.
We solaced each other's pain and shared our many thorns.
As time flew, the air grew thick,
I saw our friendship fading, and my heart grew sick.
The day had arrived,
When it was time to say goodbye.
Now I sit alone,
reminiscing the past I'd blown
A Friend Most True
© Wendy Hinson 04.03.99
I need to know if you’re my true friend,
will you be by my side until the end?
Can I tell you my secrets deep,
and trust them in your heart you’ll keep?
We are neither of us without our flaws,
can you accept mine as I will yours?
I’ll be a shoulder to cry on when you’re blue,
will you be there for me when I need you?
No matter how busy I will make time for you,
if you are busy will you make time for me too?
I will take your hand and comfort your tears,
will you hold me and soothe my fears?
I will give you joy and many warm smiles,
can we share that even across many miles?
I will not forget what’s important to you,
will you remember what’s important to me too?
With you my most favourite things I’ll share,
If only I know do you truly care?
If you can accept me as I do you,
then I will know you are a friend most true.
Let such pure hate still underprop
"Friends, Romans, Countrymen, and Lovers."
Let such pure hate still underprop
Our love, that we may be
Each other's conscience,
And have our sympathy
Mainly from thence.
We'll one another treat like gods,
And all the faith we have
In virtue and in truth, bestow
On either, and suspicion leave
To gods below.
Two solitary stars--
Unmeasured systems far
Between us roll;
But by our conscious light we are
Determined to one pole.
What need confound the sphere?--
Love can afford to wait;
For it no hour's too late
That witnesseth one duty's end,
Or to another doth beginning lend.
It will subserve no use,
More than the tints of flowers;
Only the independent guest
Frequents its bowers,
Inherits its bequest.
No speech, though kind, has it;
But kinder silence doles
Unto its mates;
By night consoles,
By day congratulates.
What saith the tongue to tongue?
What hearest ear of ear?
By the decrees of fate
From year to year,
Does it communicate.
Pathless the gulf of feeling yawns;
No trivial bridge of words,
Or arch of boldest span,
Can leap the moat that girds
The sincere man.
No show of bolts and bars
Can keep the foeman out,
Or 'scape his secret mine,
Who entered with the doubt
That drew the line.
No warder at the gate
Can let the friendly in;
But, like the sun, o'er all
He will the castle win,
And shine along the wall.
There's nothing in the world I know
That can escape from love,
For every depth it goes below,
And every height above.
It waits, as waits the sky,
Until the clouds go by,
Yet shines serenely on
With an eternal day,
Alike when they are gone,
And when they stay.
Implacable is Love--
Foes may be bought or teased
From their hostile intent,
But he goes unappeased
Who is on kindness bent

It's hard to know what you're looking for. You say both sad and happy, love and hate, friends and losing them. Did you mean OR, there? It's hard to know.
Anyway, here's a poem about losing someone, probably appropriate for a girl to read...
While Waiting for a Taxi
Were I to say, 'I'm sorry,' what would your reaction be?
I think you've heard it much too much, especially from me.
Were I to say, 'I love you, still,' would you lash out again,
the way you did, when you found out about those other men
and what we do, together? Since there's nothing I can say
that you won't misconstrue, I think it's best I leave. Today.
I want to say, 'I'll miss you,' but you'd think it was a lie,
like all the other lies I've told. I think you'd rather die
believing I'm a scumbag who took pleasure in your pain,
than that the love we shared was true. You'd think it was inane,
were I to say, 'You're special.' That I learned those words by rote.
It's better to say nothing, so I'm tearing up this note.
