I was born 9/21/1947. I was born in Portland, ME USA. I attended the University of Maine and met my future wife, Tabitha, there. I am an avid Boston Red Sox fan and attend many games both at home and on the road. I am a certified teacher and storyteller. On June 19, 1999 was almost killed by a traffic accident. I am the 2003 Lifetime Acheivement Award winner for the National Book Awards. I have written many stories and screenplays. I have 3 grown children.
