Banana Republic began offering its "00" duds on its Website in the Spring. Next Fall Nicole Miller, a designer for Banana Republic, will introduce a size tentatively called "Subzero" for women with 23 l/.2 inch waists and 35 inch hips. The less than zeros arrive as Americans are getting bigger. According to standard size measurements, the average 155 lb woman should be wearing a size 16, but thanks to ' vanity' sizing she's probably wearing a size 10 or 12. Women want to believe they are a size 6 because the label says so.
Are you the new "thin" "subzero," or do you prefer the more curvy look. (Paris Hilton buddy, Nicole Ritchie would probably fit into the new "subzero" category, but looks emaciated, even though she's only about 5'4")

I am 5'4" and 140 pounds.
I have been told countless times by strangers and friends alike that I have the most beautiful body. I don't have fat rolls hanging over my pants, but, I certainly don't have my ribs showing through my sweater. Most men I have encountered would rather have a woman with cuves than a tiny little stick. I mean, seriously, what guy doesn't want boobs and a butt? Curvy is the way to be!

The funny thing is a standard size 0 is supposed to have a 22/23 inch waist and 32/33 inch hips, but this subzero has bigger measurements than that lol. It's all BS, I even made a post about it before. American sizes need sorting out into standard measurements to stop this ridiculous trend once and for all!
I prefer curvy, like 36-26-38 (standard size 6-8) to the rail thin look. HTH : )

I am curvy...and the men love it. Just a little junk with a small waist can go a long way. I think anything size 10/12 and under is exceptable. But the 00 thing makes me want to buy those gals some cheeseburgers!
We are all beautiful...no matter what our size is, you just gotta know how to dress for your body type.

My sister is honestly a walking twig, but because she is soo tall size 00 and 0 do NOT fit her in length, WAY too short! She wairs size one, and they are pretty baggy on her!

I'm happy in my own skin, and my skin itself wouldn't fit in a subzero. I think it's stupid. As one man I know so eloquently put it, "bones are for dogs, meat is for men."

i am VERY skinny but i dont have any problems (anorexia, bulemia etc.) im naturally skinny and i think its good to have thinner sizes as well as size like 14 or whatever. just because the world is becoming fatter and fatter doesnt mean us skinny people dont need clothes!!!!!
