Yeast infections are acquired from, antibiotic therapy, diabetes, increase change of getting yeast infection if you wear nylon panties, rather than cotton, for nylon holds in moisture, & body heat. Symptoms, are mild itching at first, advancing quickly with in about 24 to 48 hours, severe itching, whitish discharge, fungal growth on outside of vagina, smells sort of like onions, and looks like thick, whitish to yellowish substance. Easily treated with monitstat, or diflucan the later needs a prescribition from your physician. Also eating yogourt with live cultures helps tremendously, this restores the normal flora to your vaginal area, also drinking buttermilk, for it has active live good bacteria culturles in it also. Thanks for the opportunity to answer your question.

Hello, I'm on the second week and seeing definite improvement on my yeast infection symptoms:
https://bitly.im/aMC4z
Note that: If the yeast infection doesn't respond to over the counter treatment, prescription medication will likely be necessary. Similarly, if the symptoms return after two months of being treated, you should contact the doctor for professional treatment rather than resorting again to home treatment.

If this is the first time you have experienced a yeast infection, you should schedule an appointment to have the condition treated by a doctor instead of resorting to home treatment

yeast infections happen when there is a change in the pH around your vulvar/ vagina.. the normal yeast that lives there gets disturbed. stress, pregnancy, diabetes and certain antibiotic treatments are some of the most common causes of a yeast infection. some signs and symptoms include itching, redness/ burning sensation around the vulvar, yellow/ fishy smell discharge.
the more you scratch, the worst it gets and feels.

every body contains good bacteria and bad bacteria. from what i understand, a yeast infection is caused by a over growing of yeast bacteria, which is why it is commonly brought on after taking antibiotics. they kill the baceria that keep the yeast from growing out of control. there are many over the counter meds you can take for it.
